Li P’tite Buweye

For many years, in the heart of old Namur, Li P’tite Buweye has been helping the most disadvantaged members of society to do their laundry and take a shower.

In Namur Walloon, ‘Li P'tite Buweye’ means ‘The Little Laundry’. They provide disadvantaged people with access to hygiene.

Every person, whoever they are, has the right to dignity.

One of the fundamental aspects of this dignity is being able to: Wash oneself, Wash one's clothes

Access to hygiene is a concrete way of taking care of oneself and preserving one's dignity.

Because every person deserves to live with dignity, regardless of their background.

Because it provides access to basic needs: hygiene, clean clothes, hot meals, a safe space.

Because these services are essential for rebuilding self-confidence.

Because they promote the social reintegration of people in precarious situations.

Because they help to preserve the physical and mental health of beneficiaries.

Because without this support, people would be more exposed to isolation, stigmatisation and serious risks to their well-being.
